Howdy Donut started with a simple frustration: Austin had great coffee and decent pastries, but the donut scene was asleep at the wheel. Day-old batches. Generic flavors. Nothing that made you pull over.

So we opened our doors on Bee Caves Road with a commitment to doing one thing right — making donuts from scratch, every single morning, with ingredients we actually recognize. Our dough is mixed by hand. Our glazes are made in-house. We throw out what doesn't sell. That's not a policy, that's just how we like it.
